Seven!

We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this week!!!  It has flown by and I can really hardly believe it has been that long but it has been an amazing 7 years for sure.  We've enjoyed many ups and downs and we've still come out strong and even more devoted to each other than ever.  I have one very amazing husband, that's for sure!

Each year on our anniversary we take a photo of our family to add to our wedding album.  It serves to keep track of how we (and our family) have changed over the years.  Here is this year's photo:

Another Anniversary!

Six wonderful years and I still consider myself the luckiest girl in the world.  Lots has changed over the past six years but all of it has been for the better.  We've added two beautiful girls to our family, we've lived in 3 different place (though we've only owned the one we currently reside in), and we've fallen more an more in love with each other - despite our flaws.  People say that next year will start the "7-year itch" but we're not worried about that...we'll just get his and her back scratchers!  One thing is for sure, I am loving growing older with B and couldn't imagine it with anyone else!

Each year on our anniversary we take a photo to add to our wedding album.  Here are this year's photos!  We took two but I'm not sure which one is better really so I'll post both.

5 Awesome Years

Five years ago today at noon (okay it was supposed to be noon, but I was late as usual so I'm not sure what time it was really but since it was scheduled for noon...we'll go with noon!)  I married my best friend, my confidante, my love, my life's greatest blessing, my eternal companion, and if I believed in such a thing I'd even call him my soulmate.  We've had good times and bad times, prosperous times and times that were not so prosperous.  We've gone from having very little to having more than we thought possible and to a lot of people that still not be much but to us it is everything!  We've had very few "real" arguments but that's mostly because B just refuses to argue with me and I really hate fighting all by myself.  We've created a beautiful child who lights up our world every second of every day and we have plans of doing it all over again!  We both have little quirks that sometimes wear on the nerves of the other but we truly believe that "love conquers all" and so we redirect our focus.

The past five years have flown by and they have really been the greatest of my life thus far.  I know that as we continue on our journey together things will only get better and the love will only get stronger.

Each year on our anniversary we take a picture of our family and place that photo in our wedding album so that we can look back over our years together and see how our family has changed.  Here is our picture from this year:

4 Awesome Years

On Wednesday, B and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary!!! Time sure has flown by and I've enjoyed every second of it. We were fortunate enough to have my mom here visiting us so we were able to leave Y at home with her. Last year Y was about 6 weeks old when we celebrated our anniversary and a friend in our ward offered to watch her while we went to dinner. That was the last time that we had gone to dinner sans Y. She has always been a very good baby and so it was never a big deal taking he rout to dinner with us, she kinda just went with the flow. However, this year when we went out and left her with my mom, I realized how awesome it is for just the 2 of us to go out together every now and again. B was of course concerned about leaving her with my mom, he didn't want her to end up spending the whole night crying. Well, turns out she didn't cry once the entire time we were gone. In fact, I'm not sure she missed us at all! So now we will definitely be going out and having more date nights without Y every couple of months. It was so great to just sit and relax, talk, and reconnect. I love having our wonderful daughter as part of our family, but I also appreciate just being able to spend some one-on-one time with my wonderful husband. He has given me 4 awesome years of marriage and I am truly thankful for the ability to share eternity with him. He reassures me when I need it most, comforts me no matter how small or simple the issue may be and it also helps that he's always willing to help out around the house even after having a long day at work. He makes my life whole and I appreciate everything that he does for our family. 143, BPF!

Each year on our anniversary we take a picture of our family to add to our wedding album. That way as the years go by we'll be able to look back and see how we and our family has changed over the years. As you can imagine, getting a good shot while holding a 13 month old can be more than a little tricky. In all the pictures that I really liked Y was looking away or squirming so I am uploading 2 for your viewing pleasure - one where Y is looking at the camera and another that I think would be perfect had Y been more cooperative (it was her bedtime, so I can't ask for much from her).

Time Flies

They say time flies when you're having fun! Well it's true because I've had the best 3 years of my life married to B! Yep, today is our 3 year anniversary! That's short compared to most of you but a milestone for us nonetheless. Especially for me! I mean 6 or 7 years ago, had you asked me, I would have told you I wasn't getting married and I definitely wasn't having kids! So if you've learned anything about me it should be that what I say is worth a grain of salt! Because this awesome guy came along and convinced me to marry him. And to top it all off he convinced me to have a baby too! The power of persuasion!!!

All jokes aside, I can honestly say that I have had the best three years of my life married to B and this year it takes on a whole new meaning as I sit here holding our daughter. If I can be blunt and honest then I must admit that growing up I had a pretty crappy impression of marriage. Though I love my parents and I know they love each other, it was not exactly a great depiction of what a marriage should be. Honestly, none of the relationships that I witnessed as a child were really "healthy" relationships. It wasn't until I joined the church that I really started to see what marriage could be. But I didn't think that was possible for me so instead of risking it I just said I'd spend my life single. And then along came B, convincing me that not only were there loving, gentle and kind guys out there but also that I was worthy of one of those guys. I don't think we have a perfect marriage, I don't even think the perfect marriage exists. But I do know that I will do everything in my power to assure Y (and her unborn siblings) that marriage is a wonderful blessing when it's with the right person. And I want to teach her (them) this by action and not words. I dunno what I did to deserve him, but Heavenly Father sent me the greatest gift I could have asked for and every day that I awake and see him laying next to me I am even more grateful. I love you, BPF and I'm welcoming eternity with open arms thanks to you!!!

30 Months and Counting...

Okay, so today marks our 30 months ago I followed through with the best decision that I ever made! Today is our 2.5 year anniversary, I have loved everyday of it and look forward to the rest of eternity. It honestly doesn't seem like it's been that long so I guess it's true what they say, time flies when you're having fun. Believe me, I'm having the time of my life. I can look back and still say that B is my soul mate and the absolute perfect companion. Anyway, it's bedtime, have a good night!
