A Day in the Life of...
I cannot seem to keep Y dressed in actual clothes these days! I put them on her, and she takes them off. Wondering what she puts on? Just take a look at the pictures below. She started pulling out all of my shoes too, that explains my flip flops in the background.

My SUPER Talented Mommy!!!
Back in the spring I purchased an adorable top for Y at TCP and also found a pair of darling Capri's there to match it. You can see the set in this picture:
As cute as it is here, the pictures really don't do it justice!
I still wasn't completely satisfied because I desperately wanted to find a solid black skirt to go along with it. I never knew how impossible that could be! All the skirts were brightly colored and not at all what I was looking for, I searched in stores, I searched online in stores, eBay, you name it, i tried it but to no avail. So I talked to my mom and started looking at patterns to see if she could sew a skirt for me. I should add that I was looking for something very specific: I wanted it to be solid black, tiered and just below the knee. Searching on sites like McCalls. Simplicity, Vogue, etc. and I found NOTHING!!!! I was getting extremely disappointed and frustrated and just went to google and typed in something-or-other, probably tier skirt, toddler, pattern and after clicking on several links I hit the JACKPOT! It was love at first sight and since I have absolutely NO prowess when it comes to using a sewing machine, my AMAZING mother agreed that she would sew it for me!!!
I quickly headed for Joann's to look for the needed materials and then decided to have a white one made as well!!! It turned out to be a real labor of love but she finished them and they look FANTASTIC!!! I can't wait to put them on Y and see her wearing them!
Here are the pictures of the finished product:
Thanks Mom!!!
I am super excited and I am sure Y will love them and look completely adorable in them! Love You!!!

Let's Play Dress-up
Today Y wore my absolute favorite dress out of all the dresses that she owns. I purchased it back in February in size 12 month and even though she technically doesn't wear 12 month clothes yet, I tried it on her earlier in the week and thought it fit well enough (plus I was just tired of looking at it hanging in the closet). So today she wore it and yeah, needless to say she looked absolutely perfect in it. And the best part is that she'll get to wear it for many months to come!!
Not sure if I've mentioned this in a previous post but she has 2 teeth coming in now. They are the front bottom two and as odd as it seems I think they'll come in either at the same time or literally one after the other. As for right now they look like they're in the same position. Maybe they're having a race to the finish.

The Greatest Invention Ever!
Okay, so after being told about these belly bands at church last Sunday, I went out today to Motherhood Maternity and purchased their Tummy Sleeve. Oh my goodness, these are the best invention ever!!! Since I tend to prefer my jeans a little more on the fitted side and I have several skirts made of type of material that has absolutely no give or stretch at all (like a satin type material but lighter and more flowy). So even though I'm not really showing (I don't think) the clothing does tend to get tighter in the waist area. So these amazing bands (they look like a tube top) slip over your pants or skirts so you don't have to button and zip them up. So basically it expands the life of your non-maternity bottoms and it looks like you're just wearing a layered shirt. I am wearing one now just because I wanted to try it out and honestly I don't think that I will ever button my pants ever again, haha!! These things are so amazingly comfortable.
I'm beginning to think that Motherhood Maternity should be paying me for advertisements, haha. Anyway, that's about all for me right now, our life is pretty uneventful right now so I really don't have too much else to say so we'll be talking to you later!
