Gifts, Gifts, Gifts!

So Y and I had another great baby shower today. It had a Baby Noah's Arc theme and everything was just adorable. I would type more but I'm really tired and I have a really bad case of heartburn, so I'm going to post the pictures and leave it at that. I would like to thank all of those people who planned, helped with, and attended the shower. We appreciate it so much, you guys are great! Enjoy!

Baby Shower #2

So today was a busy day, a hectic day, and a very good day! Today, my sister and I had our joint baby shower here in North Carolina. It was a really nice event with TONS of food. Unfortunately I didn't get a lot of pictures because I was running around town doing some other things and I arrived a bit late. But as for food we had: pasta salad, black forest ham, pork tenderloin, garden salad, cheese ball and crackers, watermelon, cantelope, red and green grapes, strawberries, fruit dip, 3 cheese & garlic breadsticks and I can't forget the adorable cake. I actually do have a picture of the cake but I didn't get to it fast enough so there are a couple of slices missing from it, so just use your imagination for those couple slices. We played a lot of games and just had fun socializing with everyone that attended. My old roommate from VT was able to attend because she was visiting her parents in Richmond for the week. I was able to spend time with her (LeAnn) as well as her mom (JeriAnn), husband (Jared) and their two children (Ella and Bryce). It was awesome to see them again, it's been about a year and a half since I've seen them. With the exception of Jared who I haven't seen since my and B's wedding almost 3 years ago.
If you're wondering what sort of presents we got, I'll try my best to list them all. And if I miss anything then you'll have to look at the pictures below, so here goes: sleepers, gowns, hooded towels, a memory kit (which includes: a porcaline heart-shaped box to hold her first tooth, another to hold her first curl, a picture frame, photo box and piggy bank), baby blankets, baby booties, a ceramic sign, socks, onesies, bibs, dresses, several outfits, baby wash, baby lotion, disposable washcloths (had never heard of those but seem really neat), washcloths, bath toys, a bath set, a grooming and healthcare kit, bath toy bag, tooth and gum cleanser, hats, diaper rash ointment, a gift card, a money order, dress shoes, diapers, wipes, rattles, bottles, headbands, a stuffed toy that plays music, mittens, q-tips, a baby bath bar and a tub that has a shower component. I think that's everything but I can never be too sure so you'll just have to take a look at the pictures below. Enjoy! (FYI: If you click on the picture you can see a larger version, just in case you didn't know).

Yay for Baby Showers!!!!

So on Saturday I was given my first baby shower which was hosted by my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law (Q & C respectively). It was a lot of fun and Iyhyanna received lots of presents, it was awesome. We actually got so much that I was worried about how much to declare when we crossed the border and the Customs Agent asked, but actually we got lucky and even though Brandon told her that we had been given a baby shower she never asked what we had received or how much it was all worth. So in the end we didn't have to pay taxes on any of the stuff, which is always great!!!

Above is a picture of some of the stuff we received. There's actually so much of it that in order to fit it all in the picture we had to start piling stuff on top of other stuff, so I'll try to go through and list some of the stuff that we received. Under everything (helps prop everything else up) there's a bathtub, we also received several sleepers, blankets, onesies, a couple of dresses for church, baby booties, outfits, books, picture frames, a doll, an adorable stuffed giraffe, spoons, rattles, teethers, a car seat cozy, a bathrobe with matching slippers, and a beautiful statue (it actually matches a statue that we were given for a wedding present which shows a couple dancing) of a mom and dad hugging while holding their newborn baby, and a bunch of burp clothes and bibs. And yes someone did give us a bib of the Canadian Flag, we'll see how often B lets her wear that one, ha ha. And finally we received 2 very generous gift cards to Babies R Us as well as a gift of cash that allows us to spend some money on Grandpa P's credit card (BIG smile), which will definitely help out tons! So all in all we had a very exciting day and I'm sure Y can't wait to get here and see how much everyone already loves her! Well that's enough blabbering so I'll post a couple pictures below from the shower. Just want to say thanks again to everyone that attended the shower or was unable to attend but sent a gift anyway, we really appreciated everything that everyone has done. Enjoy!

I Love Registering!!!

So B and I finally completed all of our registering and I really forgot how much fun it is. We went to Babies R Us, Target and Walmart and surely registered for more stuff than we need, but better safe than sorry, right?!?! Anyway, it was great fun running around stores scanning things! And B even decided that the baby needs a Nintendo Wii so he registered for that as well. I didn't complain but I told him he was pushing it when he suggested that the baby needed a PlayStation 3 as well. If you're curious you can take a look at any of the store websites but you'll have to enter the last name as Lovett-Fox in order for it to work for ya. Other than that this has been a pretty trying week dealing with that psycho lady's insurance company to get them to pay for the damages. But we finally got it resolved and they say the check is in the mail. All I can say is that I'd better have it by the middle of next week or else. We're going back to Canada this weekend where I will have my first baby shower. It is hosted by Q and C (B's mom and sister). I'm happy that I'll be able to have one that C can attend before they leave in a couple weeks, they just invited a few family members and women from their ward in Canada but nonetheless it should be just as fun opening presents and imagining what our baby will look like wearing/using them. I'll try to remember to take our camera and have some pictures ready to display when I make my next post. Until then...
