11 Months Old

I realize that this is a couple of weeks late but Q turned 11 months on July 1st, the day after we left for vacation and while it was my intention to write a post about it while on vacation, I forgot our USB cable for our camera.  And so, here goes...

Q is crawling!!!  She wasn't on the first but she started while we were vacationing in NC.  She's a funny little crawler, kind of scooting along on both knees, it's adorable!  She has a bright smile and whenever someone smiles or waves at her she buries her head in my shoulder to hide her face - pretending to be shy.  She is still a pretty great sleeper though we will shortly begin sleep training, baby boot camp as I like to call it.  She no longer likes to be rocked or cuddled to sleep, now that she's mobile she likes to be on the move...even when she's exhausted.  She is quite the eater, except when we're away from home apparently, while in NC she ate fried chicken, corn bread, macaroni and nearly everything else that was put in front of her.

I can't believe that in a few short weeks my sweet baby will be 1, time has flown by and we've enjoyed (mostly) every minute of it!

Y's New Walk

Y has always invented her own forms of movement (remember this?), so I shouldn't have been surprised when she started walking in a "new" way a few weeks ago, here's a video that will explain. Unfortunately I can't flip the video so you'll just have to flip your head!

The Video...Finally

I promised to post a video of Y crawling...a week ago. Sorry for the delay and I really have no excuse aside from sheer laziness! In the video, you'll notice that she does a little crawling and a lot of contemplating crawling. Here goes:

Another Milestone

Good news! (or maybe not)! Y started crawling (the normal way) yesterday!!! I was so excited to see it and I got a video of it but she was wearing a dress which kinda prevented you from really seeing her crawl in that video so I'm going to try and take a better one today and post it sometime today or tomorrow. It was exciting to see as well as surprising because I was beginning to think that the only crawl she would do would be her Upside down reverse crawl (which she has perfected and moves along at a rapid speed). But yesterday while putting a new sheet on her changing pad I noticed her crawling to get to the box of wipes that were on the floor. So I just thought I'd post the progress for now and will add a video later!

The Upside-down, Reverse Crawl?!?!

Just thought I'd post a little video here of Y and her new found mobility...it's interesting to say the least! Enjoy!
